Leave the game for a while, get something else on your mind. When you're really really stuck, check your map, audio logs, notes. The audio logs and emails will tell you where to go, the signs will tell you which way is what.ĭon't read any walkthroughs unless you absolutely need to, since they most certainly WILL give away secrets and ruin your game experience. Use the minimap option to keep track of where you are. (For quick access, press "U" to hear the last log you picked up, and press Backspace to quit playing it.)Ĭheck your map often. They contain clues and sometimes vital information such as passcodes. Then, before you read the walkthrough, read the "Main goal" and "How" sections first.Ĭonserve ammo, either sneak past or bash your opponents, especially early in the game.Īlways, always pick up any Audio logs you find. Always read the general tips before you read the actual walkthrough. Not that this might be of any significance to you, but I had a lot of fun writing it. It is not the only walkthrough, there are in fact quite a few of them on the net, but this is the only one written entirely by me. But you can feel free to be a marine, then go psi-co later. This is a walkthrough for the computer game System Shock 2, produced by Looking Glass Studios (which sadly died not long after the release of this excellent game). All the classes are really meant for is to boost the the stats for the style of play you want. I can't go into every mixture that you make up. A good psi character will beat the other 2 hands-down. The BOTM is ridiculously easy if you play OSA. But as you progress as Bill Nye, the Psi-ence guy, it gets easier. I can only recommend him to those who understand most of the basics of the game. Otherwise, he sux in spots where he doesn't have the skills. I personnally prefer playing as the Navy, since he can handle everything well - provided he has the right skills. The marine, if you play true to his expected skills (Lotsa Strength and Endurance but no psi stuff.), would be easy early on, but the game would be very difficult later. O.K, the way it seems to boil down to is that each class has an easy-ness factor at certain points of the game.(a la Diablo) That means that say, for example, you play the marine.
